Raymond Tilton was born in San Marcos, CA and trained at San Elio Dance Academy prior to becoming a Trainee with the San Francisco Ballet School. In 2010, Raymond was named an Apprentice with San Francisco Ballet and later joined the company as a Corps de Ballet member in 2011. While there, Raymond performed in diverse repertory including Tomasson’s Nutcracker (King of the Mice and Arabian), Tomasson’s Giselle, Tomasson’s Romeo and Juliet, Balanchine’s Coppélia, Cranko’s Onegin, Neumeier’s The Little Mermaid, Wheeldon’s Cinderella (Winter and Courtier), Balanchine’s Scotch Symphony, Fokine’s Petrouchka, Lifar’s Suite en Blanc, Nureyev’s Raymonda – Act III, Possokhov’s Firebird, Ratmansky’s Shostakovich Trilogy (Symphony #9 and Chamber Symphony), and Robbins’ Glass Pieces. In 2015, Raymond joined Diablo Ballet and was named Principal of Diablo Ballet School in 2019 before relocating back home to San Marcos with his wife and fellow GSB Dancer, Jordan, and their son, Rocco.
